Functional Training

The Functional Patterns method, created by Naudi Aguilar in the United States, trains the body to improve our ability to control movement in every position.
The goal of the training is not simply to exhaust you, but to help you move better — in absolutely everything you do.

It offers a deeper understanding of how the body truly organizes itself under load, impact, and rotation. You learn how tension travels through the body, how posture shapes strength, and how each part of the body interacts with the whole.

Unlike traditional Pilates apparatus work, where springs offer variable resistance, Functional Patterns uses constant resistance through its Regen Trainer equipment, allowing you to move in multiple planes of motion, exactly as the body is designed to do in daily life.

Here, exercises are performed primarily standing, in positions that reflect our natural movement patterns:
* standing posture
* gait cycle
* trunk organization and rotation

Thanks to this constant resistance, the body learns to distribute force through the kinetic chains and myofascial lines (as defined by Thomas Myers in Anatomy Trains) without adding unnecessary load.

This creates integrated, global, coherent movement, rather than isolated muscle work that fragments the body.
